Village Hall - Merton, WI

it takes a village.

COVID affected all of us in one way or another. For the Village of Merton the contagious nature of the virus meant moving out of the shared Fire and Police station into the village’s Community Center, which also proved to be inadequate for the use by village staff. This new Village Hall is situated in a neighborhood on the main street in Merton, and while the new building blends with it context, it also maintains a civic presence that is not overpowering or overly grandiose. The new building includes offices and support spaces for staff as well as a much needed new community center to support large public and private gatherings.
